NEESC-Job Seekers

We recognize that youth (between the ages of 16-30) in our diverse community have a variety of different needs when it comes to employment, and our dynamic team is here to help them reach their goals and get employed.

Drive Youth Employment Centre is an offsite program of Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House for Youth Employment Services. We are set up to help youth who are having a difficult time finding work or sustainable employment. We operate from a client-centered approach, offering support, access to resources and one-on-one employment assistance.

Specific services provided:

Our drop-in resource centre is a friendly, youth-oriented, supportive place to search for a job. You can use a computer with internet access, a fax machine, photocopier, and a telephone. You can also scan our job postings, learn about our workshops and one-on-one services and pick up information about other services in the community.
Our Case Managers can help you one-on-one to identify your challenges and to develop and commit to a plan to find employment. Case Managers also help with résumés, cover letters, job search techniques, interview preparation and provide information about employment training programs.
Case Managers can also help you keep your job once you find one. For the first 3-12 weeks on the job, your Case Manager can answer any questions you might have about such things as employer/employee rights, taxes, and paperwork and coach you through any situations you might want help with.
Located near the corner of 5th Ave and Commercial Drive, we are a short walk north of the Broadway/Commercial SkyTrain stations and the Vancouver Northeast Employment Centre at 312- 2555 Commercial Drive.
