For over a decade, ACCESS has provided employment and training programs and services to the urban Aboriginal community of Metro Vancouver. Whether you are a status or non-status Indian, Metis or Inuit, ACCESS is committed to helping you achieve your employment and career goals.

We deliver a unique and diverse assortment of employment, training, counselling, support and financial services designed to help members of the urban Aboriginal community overcome barriers that may stand in the way of success and self-sufficiency. We envision an urban Aboriginal Community empowered through culture, wellness, achievement, and self–sufficiency. Our core values are Respect, Honour, Kindness and Sharing and we treat our clients according to those values.

Here are the services offered by ACCESS:

ACCESS has equipment and computers for your job search. You can use a computer with internet access, a fax machine, photocopier, and a telephone. You can also scan our job postings and pick up information about other services in the community.
Your ACCESS Case Manager can help you one-on-one to identify your skills and challenges, explore career options and develop and commit to a plan to find employment. Case Managers also help with résumés, cover letters, job search techniques, interview preparation and provide information about employment training programs and in some cases, fund them. Bus tickets and working gear may also be available to help with your job search.
Your ACCESS Case Manager can refer you to other ACCESS employment programs if they are suitable. Other ACCESS Programs include: pre-employment training, trades and other training, and Essential Skills for Aboriginal Futures.
Your Case Manager can also help you keep your job once you find one. Your Case Manager can answer any questions you might have about such things as employer/employee rights, taxes, and paperwork and coach you through any situations you might want help with.
