The inaugural East Van Community Job Fair, held on Wednesday September 14th, attracted 300 job seekers and 21 employers. Organized by the Vancouver Northeast WorkBC Employment Services Centre, the event successfully connected the community to employers in their neighbourhood.

The Rt. Hon Melanie Mark, MLA Vancouver-Mount Pleasant, stopped in to show her support for the community event, and took time to speak with job seekers, employers and centre staff.

The WorkBC employment centre, operated by MOSAIC in partnership with several other community agencies (Kiwassa, BC Centre for Ability, Frog Hollow, New Start, and Back in Motion) offers free services to job seekers in Northeast Vancouver.
